Everything's Gonna Be Alright

Have you ever been in a situation where you couldn't find any way out, everything seems to be out of control, your life is in chaos, more than two problems come before you at the same time???...........

It could be any situation regarding your job, study, relationship, family, finance, and so on. May be you've been waiting for a response from a job that you've applied for ages, while your family keep asking you why are you still jobless til now, and then they don't supply you with any living cost anymore? Or may be you've been betrayed my your most trusted friend when you desperately need him/her beside you? May be you have a problem in your job, while your boss seems to be ignorant, and none of your colleagues show any sympathy?

Anyway, the list could be endless...., but I want you to get rid of those lists for a while, and let me bring you time travelling for a while in the ancient time around 850 BC when King Jehosaphat reigns. Once upon a time during his reigning period, allied forces came altogether to attack his kingdom

"After this, the Moabites, and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war with Jehosaphat. Some men came and told Jehosaphat, "a vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the sea. It is already in Hazezon Tamar". Alarmed, Jehosaphat resolved to enquire of the Lord, and He proclaimed a fast for all Judah. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord, indeed, they came from every town of Judah to seek Him ". (2 Chron 20: 1-4)

Pause, and imagine if you were Jehosaphat, what will you do? If I were him, I must've panicked and confused, couldn't even think anymore. Coz there's no way for me and my army could win against those allied forces.
But from the passage above we read that Jehosaphat choose to seek and inquire of the Lord with all his people. And surely, help comes from the Lord. I really love the answer that the Lord gave to them...., read this : " ....Do not be afraid, or discouraged because of this vast army. FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD'S. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm, and see the deliverance the Lord will give you O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. GO OUT TO FACE THEM TOMORROW, AND THE LORD WILL BE WITH YOU" (2 Chron 20 : 15-17).

Awesome! isn't it? And of course, if you read the rest of the story in 2 Chron 20, you will see how wonderful God fought for His people. This Godly people did come to face their enemies. But instead of take up their swords or arrows, they sing the songs of praise and exalt the name of The Lord. Finally the supernatural thing happened in the battle field. Those who came together to attack Jehosaphat, ended up killing each other til none of them left alive.

Well, whatever enemies come on our way today, just remember 'the battle is not ours, but God's. Don't fight for a battle that doesn't belong to us coz it will only wear us out and leave us without solutions. Seek the Lord instead, and ask for His wisdom, for He will give it generously. He who calm the raging seas, will still be able to calm the raging seas in our heart, and our situation. But don't forget, there is an instruction that God gave to Judah : take up your positions, stand firm, go out and face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you. Keep doing our responsibility, without worrying about the situation. God will come to the rescue, and work in miraculous way to bring deliverance for those who put their hope in Him.

Well, I talked to myself as well by writing this actually. If you're in the same situation as Jehosaphat today, just remember " the battle is not yours, but God's. stand firm and take up your positions". Don't be afraid, everything's gonna be alright. God bless you...

Wooopppss....I forgot something... I should bring you time travel back to the present time, hehehe :)
